Are you ready for some football???

Sorry everyone time has really gotten away from me lately...lots of new news but I figured I should finally post this since Im almost done being upset, its been sitting in my edit post box forever....Then we can get on to all of the new and exciting things going on.
Last year me and Jason started a new tradition...messing with my dad during football season. He is an avid Broncos fan and I am a die hard Raiders fan. My dad thinks that I developed this rivalry just as pure amuzement because it bugs him. However, this could not be further from the truth. I will admit the fact that it bothers him does intice me, hence the tradition. I like the Raiders though because when I was little they used to play really dirty and fight a lot. It seemed like every game I watched someone was being taken out on a stretcher or every play was being flagged. They made football interesting to me. I know that sounds sadistic but its true. So I thought you might all want to know just how mean and dirty me and Jason play. We're running out of ideas though so if any of you have suggestions on our next prank let us know. We will keep you updated on what tricks we play on him this year.
This was part of my retaliation last year. I called my dad right before the first game last year and left him a very nice message...It went something like this...."Hi, daddy its me. I just wanted to give you my birthday and Christmas list considering you probably wont want to talk to me after the game for a couple months. Call me back, love you"....To which he replied by calling back and leaving me a message..."hey puntin...I don't think I'll have too many problems talking to you because your team sucks and their going to lose"...
And thats how this all started....We woke up really early before the game even started and began plotting, and this is what we came up with...

We made the posters and then went and got the balloons. My dad lives about an hour away from us so we ended up missing most of the game but we listened to it in the car on the way there. It was totally worth it though especially when I found out that Christine was the one that opened the box and let the balloons out in their house. Hehehaha.

The note attached read:
Box of crayons .99

Poster board .49

Getting carpletunnel to finish something that you started...PRICELESS!!!

The next game we sent him a box of "consulation" candy with a little poem about how his team was gonna lose and we thought he might need something to lesson the pain. The funny thing about that one was the fact that it was left over halloween candy and he almost broke his tooth on it because he actually ate it. Oopps...

The last thing that we did during the season was we tried to put a Raiders antena topper in his car...Unfortunately he doesn't have an antena so it was easily spotable on his rear view mirror. It was found and then chucked towards us before he even started the car. =(

By the end of it I had enough to make him a little scrapbook of the season and all of our "fun", although I don't think it ended up being much fun for him. Because of this we ended up making a bet that we both ended up dreading this season because of. We decided to "get" each other hats from our respective teams for the other one to wear once a week (out on the town) if the others team one, until the next game and then the cycle would start all over again.

I was trying to be all smart and sneaky when I came up with the idea of making my dads hat. I inlisted the help of my grandma.

Little did I know that so did my dad...Thanks again grandma...or traitor. And this is how both ended up turning out.

Well another season begins tomorrow....and one of us is going to have to wear the others hat until the next game. Lets hope its not me....Either way I'll post the pictures. (sniffle sniffle...I had to wait a couple of weeks to post this because I was soooooo devistated that we lost...) As another little side note, my hat is not easily wearable. Its tall and awkward and likes to try and fall off my head if I am not standing perfectly still. Thanks again Dad!

Alert the press!!!! Jason let me adopt an elephant!

Ok so he didn't really let me adopt an elephant but Felix got a new hat and because of that it occured to me that most of you have never been introduced to our entire family, so I figured its about time. Especially because those of you who have been over to the new house know that we "say" that we have a cat but yet you've never actually seen him.

So everyone meet Felix...
He actually wasn't originally ours. I went with Sheina a couple of years ago when she bought him and from the first second I was completely in love. I begged Jason to buy him back from her and literally cried when she drove off with him still in her possession. A couple of years later and Sheina wasn't able to keep him anymore and offered him to me. It always seems to amaze me how wonderful God is and how he works in mysterious ways. It was right around the time that I got sick and was no longer working because of it and so Felix helped me through all of it. I know that sounds silly but I wasn't used to being home by myself and it got really lonely really quickly, and Felix managed to dull some of that.

Ironically after we got him he got really sick too. In the last couple of years we have had major bladder issues that have sent us to the emergency vet at all hours of the night to be catheterized. I always tell Jason its my practice for having real kids because I could never imagine loving anything more and would go to the end of the world to make sure that he is safe and healthy. We never really knew that it was such a common problem with male cats but apparently it is. Luckily though he seems to be doing much better with his change of diet.

On a lighter note let me tell you a little more about Felix without all of the sappiness.

The last thing that we moved into the house: Felix. The very first night that we spent the night here, Felix spent the night too. No sooner, no later.

He is helpful when it comes to any project around the house...even helping Jason play guitar hero.

He is French, that and that alone is the only reason why he talks like pepe la pue.

He does not mind sock hats (after they make him pass out that is)....

He does not like weenier dogs named Toby...He does however love his weenier dog made out of catnip, either that or it reminds him of Toby we can't really tell it doesn't have any more ears though so you be the judge.

He doesn't like to be hot and to remedy this he sleeps in the sink.

Although it might seem like all he does is sleep, at night when me and Jason are trying to sleep Felix likes to pretend he is part of the kitty Olympics. He does flips and jumps but his specialty is the balance beam....TA DA!

He loves pretending that he's a stuffed animal and trying to scare me by moving.

He is very loving to his "babies" and he can not go any where without his stick. If we are all sitting downstairs he will run up stairs and all you can hear is the thumping of his stick bouncing down the stairs. He also feeds and waters everything.

He is a lot bigger then he looks. He can take up an entire bed, no matter how big.

He likes to make phone calls but were a little concerned about that since we've never been introduced to any of his friends.

And last but not least, he is a die hard Raiders fan, and he will go to every extreme to make that perfectly clear. He is after all black and white. We will be watching Monday night! GO RAIDERS!!!!!! (LOL...Hi dad!)
