10 Things I love about you!

Well my last list didnt go over that well considering the blog kinda shuffled the list together and I didnt realize that before I posted it but hopefully this one will come out better...enjoy.

10 things I love about Jason that most people wouldnt know:

1. His work ethic (although I also tend to hate this one as well)

2. The way he looks at me (and only me)

3. The way he doesnt make fun of me when I cry hysterically at t.v. commercials (dang hallmark, and humane society), or that I have a concentration face which includes me sticking my tongue out, or that when I play video games with him I have to move with the icon on the screen.

4. The way he says OOHHH COOOL when we watch movies together and he see's a nice car.

5. The way he takes me shopping, even though he hates it and he hates all the stores I like...especially when I say I have nothing to wear when I have 98% of a walk in closet all to myself thats full of clothes.

6. The fact that he indulges me in doing things like these lists even when I know he doesnt want to...and how cute it is that he has fun doing so but cant admit it until its all said and done.

7. He still makes me feel like Im 16 and worry free.

8. You let me have complete control of the remote at all times, even when it means your stuck watching some girly show like "What Not to Wear" or a Raiders game.

9. He comes home for lunch just to see me every single day, even when its not convient for him to do so.

10. He makes me laugh every day, even when I dont feel like laughing (whether its him just being smart, or pretending like we have an elevator in our house, or him doing the monkey face, or the chewbaca noise), he always knows how to make me smile.

10 things I love about Heather that most people wouldnt know:

1. That she wakes up every morning just to say goodbye to me and talk to me on my way to work.

2. That no matter what she has to have the last laugh (even if she laughed first)

3. That she knows the smallest, strangest detail about almost every song (and she sings them as loud as she can)

4. That even when she doesnt know something she comes up with a story so elaborate that no one can call her on it.

5. That she has different voices for all of our animals (the cat is French...and the dog is rough and mean (which she doesnt pull off very well because she's not very good at man voices)

6. That when she immitates people they all sound like rednecks (I teased her that I was going to call Jeff Foxworthy and say, "if my wifes immitating you, you might be a redneck".

7. That if I make a face at her, she ALWAYS makes one back

8. That she makes me do things like this

9. That she can flare her nostrils but she cant wiggle her ears...and for some reason that bothers her.

10. She makes me get out of the house, even if it is to go shopping....AGAIN.

Our "D" Day 7 year anniversary!!!!

Okay for those of you who dont know...Me and Jason met on July 31st 1998...He was here visiting his mom for summer vaction and I was dating one of his friends. We met...that was it. He says it was his car (his moms car)...and I say it was the way he made me feel. We only had approximately two weeks together until he left again, but we fell in love.
He went back to Washington and through our broken hearts we continued to correspond. We talked on the phone (we have the phone bills to prove it...sorry mom)...and wrote emails and letters. Time went by and things got all muddled be it fate or our own narcasism, and we lost touch.
However, as the story goes...He called me one day...and told me he was going to be going to Wyo-Tech, which is only a 4 hour drive from Colorado Springs. So we started talking again. He came down as frequently as he could, and I went and visited him as well. We became as close as we ever were.
Now anyone that knows Jason and I do mean anyone...a stranger off of the streets knows that Jason likes to play "tricks" or be "smart" with people, thats just his thing. So anyways...Jason told me that he was moving back to Washington when he graduated...I bawled....hysterically..for days...I couldnt even talk to him to be honest with you...but he called me asked me to come to his graduation to say goodbye to him...so I did. Where I learned that he had decided to move to Colorado...
Hence, our "D" day...where he made the "D"ecision to move back here...

So for our "D" day I would like to share with you some of the things we were doing back then compared to now.

I had just graduated from high school...and like most teenagers I was trying to figure out what I was going to do with the "rest of my life"....while working for minimum wage in a store that will probably always be one of my favorite jobs...

Like I said Jason had just graduated from Wyo-tech...and started working with Rusty.

Its funny to imagine where I would be without Jason...I think I probably would have moved to California to go to UCLA, and I know I wanted to work at Disney Land as Tinkerbell, or Snow White (LOL)...but I dont think I would have been happy without him...and I probably would have hunted him down where ever he was. Thank goodness we never had to find out.

Its so funny to look back and to see whats changed and what hasnt....Jason loves me so we came up with this list together:

WOW HAS IT ALREADY BEEN A YEAR????

Wow, so I cant really believe it but its almost been a year since we bought this house! Some days it feels like its been twenty years, other days it feels like we just got it yesterday, and a lot of the time I still wake up like where the heck am I??? I think that before we moved in here by ourselves I thought I knew everything about Jason...but boy was I wrong. Doing a lot of things together for the first time and working on the house together has taught us both so much about each other that we never knew before. So I thought that I would share some of our firsts together with you guys....hope you enjoy!!!

Starting with our first picture on our first night in our first bed that we ever bought together. Jason was so sweet because we actually bought the house on June 16th...but before we even signed the papers I started feeling home sick....so he was very patient with me when I wanted to clean the house for a week, then paint the house for a week, and then move every little tiny piece of my life into the house before we actually moved in. We ended up owning the house for almost a month before we ever even spent the night there....and even then I couldnt sleep and kept him up until like 5 in the morning.

Our first picture in front of our house.

The threshold picture...

Our first family pictureOur first anniversary in the new house...3 years.....yeah!!!!

Our first home improvement project...We had blinds for the back slider, but they were cloth and I thought they were ugly so I bought these ones instead but they didnt fit, so we had to ghetto rig them....here I am cutting them up so they would fit.

TAAAAA DAAAAA!!!!!

Our very first house payment ever!!!!

Us after we realized that we just made the first of a whole lot of house payments to come.

Our first dog ever....YEAHHHH SPIKEY!!!!!

Our first Halloween....Our first Christmas.

Our first time EVER having to PAY taxes!!!! I was sad, Jason was MAD!!!

Our first Easter- and egg coloring together!!!

Other Interesting Facts:

First people to ever see the house besides us- my mom, Ken and Jasons mom

First actual cooked meal in the house- Spaghetti (duh!! lol)

First over night guest- Anthony

First party- 4th of July bbq/ housewarming

Even though we've been here for a year I would say that were only about 60% moved in. Were not living out of boxes or anything cause we just went out and bought new stuff, but we havent gone through or even looked at a lot of the boxes that came here with us. Im a pack rat I have every letter that was ever written to me, every movie ticket, every rose, etc. that was ever given to me.

Home Depot is Jason's favorite new store and my new nemesis....grrrr....

Having an HOA is not as nice as it sounds especially when your on the top of their list and they wont leave you alone....also grass is really hard to grow....ahem....were trying.

You never really realize the difference between men and women until your furnishing a home. He thinks we need tools and gadgets, I think we need furniture.

Jasons favorite room in the house- the garage.

My favorite room in the house- our bedroom because its the only room in the house that we actually furnished ourselves so its our (my) style.

Things we've discovered we cant live without- DVR, a king size bed, a garage, and a covered patio.

Well I think thats it for now...Hopefully I can find time in the next couple of days to put before and after pictures on here in for those of you who havent seen the house (kinda) fully furnished. I hope you enjoyed.
